Any identifier with a predictable shape: a matter number like 24-0117-EST, a customer ID like CUST-00412, an account number after the word "Account". Show ShrinkRay one example and it remembers the shape, never the example, then shows you every match before anything is removed.
Only Social Security numbers are on by default. Formats that look like ordinary numbers, such as routing and account numbers, are tied to the word that usually comes before them. And if a format would remove a large share of the numbers in a file, ShrinkRay stops and asks.
