The short version

The ShrinkRay app runs entirely on your computer. Your files, their contents, and your converted documents never leave your machine, are never uploaded, and are never seen by us. The app makes no network connections. This page mostly describes what our website and purchase process collect, which is very little.

What the app collects

Nothing. No accounts, no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, no network calls. License keys are verified on your device. Usage statistics (like your lifetime tokens saved) are stored only on your computer.

What this website collects

• Feedback form: if you submit feedback, we receive the rating, comment, app version, edition, and — only if you choose to provide it — your email address, used solely to respond to you. Stored in our private records; never sold or shared.
• Email signups: if you join a waitlist or newsletter, we store your email to send you the updates you asked for. Unsubscribe anytime.
• Downloads: installers are served by GitHub, whose own privacy statement applies to that request.

Purchases

Business licenses are sold through our payment processor (the merchant of record), which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy — we never see your card number. We receive your name and email to generate and deliver your license key, and we keep a record of issued keys as required for licensing and tax purposes.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising trackers or sell data. If we use analytics, it is privacy-respecting, cookie-free measurement of page counts only.

Data requests

Want your feedback record or email removed? Write to sales@shrink-ray.net and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date.
